Happy Friday, y’all!

This was honestly a tiring week for me. We had my friend’s 40th birthday party on Saturday night and went to bed at 2:45 am. Then we went to the Justin Timberlake concert on Monday night and went to bed at 1:45 am. TOTALLY worth it, but man was I on the struggle bus for a bit!

The rest of the fam is doing well. Mila has a little cold, but other than that (knocking on all the wood!), we’re all good. Kaiden is still loving camp and is super excited to go every day.

This weekend should be pretty relaxed. We have make-up swim classes for both kids on Friday, Kumon on Saturday morning, an outing with friends in the PM, and a possible hike on Sunday. Fun times!

With that, let’s move on to some Friday Stuff…

Friday Thoughts

I don’t have any random thoughts (none that are coming to mind at this moment at least), but I did come across this beautiful poem that you can take into the weekend with you. Enjoy!

“Go into this week
with the attitude that
your peace,
your health of mind,
and your heart
mean more than
getting everything else done.
That your smile matters,
That feeling rested matters.
That holding the hand
of your loved ones matter.
So pause lots,
function at a pace
that doesn’t pull you apart.
Honour the things that
make you feel good inside,
the things that make you feel alive.
Give time to those things this week.
Make time the gift it is,
by giving it to what really matters to you.”
– S.C. Lourie of Butterflies and Pebbles

Friday Links

Protocols and Peak Performance – 100% agree with this post!

How to Die in Good Health – This is primarily an article about Dr. Peter Attia. I read his book Outlive and took a lot away from it overall. That said, I do not do anything extreme in the name of health and longevity.

The Problem With Biohacking, Optimization, and The Wellness Industrial Complex 2.0 – There’s a bit of a theme here today!

Nobody Knows What’s Going On – Such a great affirming post. Most of what we hear from others comes in the form of an opinion. No one really knows what’s going on!

In an age where social media reigns supreme… – Trying to do this more and more.

Have a great Friday and weekend!
