Hello hello! We are back from our Spring Break 2.0 trip to the beach, and as much as I loved the time with our friends, I am so excited to be back in our routine.

I’ll share more about our trip soon. Let’s just say it was filled with lots of beach + pool time, delicious food, lots of laughter, games, some kid squabbling, and more laughter. THE BEST!

Let’s talk about my Q2 aims

At the beginning of the year, I was pumped and ready to go with my goals for the year in hand. And then February and March hit, and so many things had to be put on the back burner, including some of my goals.

But that’s just life, right? We have a vision for where we want to go and life throws up obstacles. It’s up to us to navigate and not let every challenge derail us, using agility and creativity along the way. My biggest lesson so far this year.

That said, I’m thinking about Q2 a little differently. Instead of super specific goals, I’m going for aims – the things I’m aiming to do consistently no matter what. And if I get derailed a little, I’ll just pick up again when it makes sense. Most of my aims fit in in the health and wellness bucket because I feel like that’s the only bucket that’s in my control right now.

In no particular order…

  • Drink at least 80 ounces of water a day
  • Strength train 3x a week
  • Walk on walking pad for minimum of 15 minutes most days
  • Get 90-100 grams of protein a day
  • Get 2-3 servings of probiotic foods a day
  • Take vitamins, supplements, and immune support ‘stuff’ daily
  • Read for 15 minutes a day
  • Give K and M 10 minutes each of uninterrupted time daily

All of this seems doable. And for the most part, I was able to do these things in Q1. As a result, I feel good from the inside out. I feel strong and capable in other parts of my life. Health really is true wealth!

Other than that, Q2 will be quieter than Q1 in a few ways – not much travel (at least not as a family!), the end of school year + the start of summer camp (re: slower routine!), warmer weather so hopefully lots of time spent outdoors, etc.

Looking forward to it!
