1. I 100% thought I was immune to whatever is now floating around my house. But turns out I’m not. I woke up this morning with a slight sore through, a minor cough, and a little congestion. AND Vishnu texted me earlier and said he’s not feeling too great either. Fun times! Hoping and praying Mila stays relatively healthy through all of this. If all else fails, I’m just going to remember what K said to me yesterday – “At least I didn’t throw up.” There is that!
  2. I have a to-do list with 15 items on it (and this is just for Awarify). I’ve ticked 5 of them off. Logically, I know it’s ok and that this particular season of life (as in the past week) may not lend itself to a ton of productivity. However, it’s still hard for me to absorb the idea fully. On the one hand, I know that if I push myself too much, I’ll just feel worse. And on the other hand, I want to do all the things! Let’s call this a work in progress.
  3. Mila likes kiwi fruit. I don’t know why this surprised me the other day, but it did! I love that she tries almost everything, even though she often only goees back for her favorites.
  4. A coaching client of mine called the 40s a decade of mid-life awareness. LOVE THIS! I think for those of us who chose to stay aware of how certain activities, people, food, etc. impact us, we are setting ourselves up for an amazing second act.
  5. I’m not sure why, but I feel especially overwhelmed right now. #2 on this list plays a role in this feeling, but so does an ever growing personal list, upcoming travel (always worth it and fun but the overwhelm is always there on the front end), and just random house projects I’ve been putting off. This is when I really need to take a page from my own book, take a deep breath, prioritize the tasks and take a small action. “Little by little, a little becomes a lot.”

And with that, I hope you’re having a good week so far. If you’re in the same boat as me with #1, 2 and/or 5, remember one day at a time and we can do hard things. You’ve got this!
