It’s not often I say this, but this week felt kind of long. Not sure what it was, but regardless, it was a better than last week…so there’s that!

We have super low-key weekend plans – Oreo house building with a friend, date night, and hanging out at home. My in laws are staying with us, so it’ll be nice to have a couple of extra pair of hands to help with the kids because Vishnu’s on call.

Hopefully a nice transition into lots of family time over the next couple of weeks.

That said, let’s move into some random Friday Stuff…

I’ve been thinking a lot about strategic silence and how to use the idea of ‘not talking’ to one’s advantage. Loved this detailed piece – so many nuggets of wisdom.

I wouldn’t say that I’m now part of the ‘no more drinking club,’ but I’ve definitely become more picky about what/when I drink. This is a good piece on some benefits of abstaining from alcohol.

I had Chilean Sea Bass for the first time ever when we went out to eat with friends…and y’all! What a fish. It was so tender and buttery. DELISH. Kaiden also seems to really enjoy fish, so I’m on the hunt for the best fish recipes. I bought salmon and mahi fillets at Costco…let’s see what we come up with!

With New Year’s resolutions on people’s minds, I found this article interesting and not very surprising.

If you listen to the Hanuman Chalisa (a Hindu prayer), I’ve got a new (to me) version for you that’s just beautiful. Our Sunday school teacher played it last week, and I texted her afterwards asking for a link. I think this will now be the first thing we listen to every morning!
