It’s that time again when I share the random mumbo jumbo update type stuff in my head with my MIS readers!  You’re welcome in advance. 🙂

Let’s avoid the extra chit chat and get right to it…

BOOKS

A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo – If you follow me on Instagram, you know my BIL gifted Kaiden this book.  I have to mention it again here because it’s not just a great read for kids.  So many of my friends shared that they ordered it for themselves.  Friends who don’t have kids.  It is politically rooted, but the message about diversity, inclusion, and acceptance is so so powerful.  Love it!

The Magic of Thinking Big – I just started this book and am already hooked.  It was originally published in 1987, but I kind of like that because there’s no ‘new age’ vocab about how to get what you want out of life.  It’s easy to understand and digest and actually makes practical sense.  I’m super hyped about what I think I’ll gain and am going in with the mindset of actually trying to apply the knowledge instead of reading and filing it all away.  I’ll share a full recap when I’m done.

WORKOUTS

You guys, I know I’ve been raving about the BBG program, but I think I’m going to switch back to Barre3 Online.  I plan to share more, but truth be told, while I really like BBG, I LOVE Barre3.  Not only do I get a great physical workout in as little as 30 minutes, but my mind + soul get so much out of it too.  All I can say is I’ve done two Barre3 Online workouts this week, and I’m sore yet feeling so refreshed.  Love, love, love!  Like I said, I plan to share more soon.

FOOD

My love for the Instant Pot knows no bounds.  I love this little kitchen gadget oh SO much!  You can imagine how happy I was when one of my favorite food bloggers, Jenn from Peas and Crayons, posted an Instant Pot Taco Pasta recipe.  Umm yes please!  I can’t wait to make this over the weekend.

And for all my fellow IP owners, please follow Jenn!  Her recipes are super easy, healthy, and most importantly, delicious – all the good things!

Also, I made these Carrot and Zucchini Muffins (with a few modifications) over the weekend for Kaiden.  My BIL tried one and then proceeded to eat eight!  They’re that good!  Highly recommend.

BEAUTY

If you’re looking for a concealer to truly hide your dark circles, look no further!  I’ve been using Tarte Shape Tape Concealer (in the shade Medium) for over a month now and LOVE IT!  The coverage is incredible and lasts all day.  It’s every mom’s dream – no more zombie eyes!

MOTHERHOOD

I’ve harped about this a couple of times before, but how do people just sit and watch a mom with a large stroller struggle with opening heavy doors.  No help offered!!!

This is mainly about our newest doorman.  Every morning he sits and watches me struggle with the doors.  On the other hand, my favorite doorman jumps up when he sees me and won’t let me touch the door!  I’m going to assume the new guy just thinks of me as a strong capable woman who doesn’t need help!  Ha!

KAIDEN

I couldn’t write a post like this and not share about my little man!  His newest trick is repeating every sound we make.  This week it’s ‘uh-oh.’  THE CUTEST!!  Oh and when we say mama, he says dada.  That little booger!

With that, I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

  1. So much truth on the stroller situation! I hate it when I’m out shopping and people literally stand on the other side waiting for me to open the door with my massive stroller. We’re moving back to Chicago this summer and I hope our doorman is nice enough to open the door for me!
