Vishnu and I welcomed our beautiful baby boy into this world last Thursday at 12:55 am. Kaiden’s arrival was a bit more dramatic than we had anticipated, but we’re all doing well and adjusting to our new life as a family of 3!
So far, Kaiden’s a pretty chill baby, except when he’s hungry and has a wet diaper (doesn’t mind those dirty ones though!). Vishnu and I are obviously on cloud nine and overjoyed about our little guy (can’t. stop. starting.at. him!). But let’s be real. We’re also sleep deprived and clumsily finding our way in terms of parenthood. I suppose that’s the fun of it though!
My mom’s staying with us for at least four weeks, and let me tell you, she’s my saving grace as I learn the new mom ropes. Totally have a newfound respect and appreciation for her (and moms in general!).
I promise to share more soon, including Kaiden’s birth story and a few other post ideas I have floating around in my head. Now I just need to find time to type everything out. You wouldn’t think it, but tiny humans are VERY time consuming! 🙂
enjoy your time with the little bundle of joy! truly a blessing to go through motherhood..
Thank you, Gia! I can’t wait to experience the journey. 🙂
Words truly can’t express how happy I am for you and V! Congrats congrats congrats again!! He is sooo cute (to which now I will say “disti disti disti” to take the curse off him lol – ask your mom about that one). But seriously. Mothers are something else I totally agree. Heroes really. Please tell aunty I said hi – so happy to hear she’s going to be staying with you and helping! I know that helped my sister immensely when baby EEP finally came home! So much love to all of you and I hope once things settle I can pop over for a visit to probably snug him next time I’m in Chicago! <3 xoxo
THANK YOU, MY FRIEND! I can’t wait for you to meet Kaiden! And my mom says hi back 🙂
