When Vishnu tried to wake me up this morning, all he got was some mumbling. I didn’t even attempt to say bye as he kissed my forehead before heading to work.
That, my friends, is a sign of a super fun (and tiring) weekend! A weekend that included delicious food, lots and lots of walking, and quality time with my best friend Roshni.
Rosh was here from Friday PM to Monday AM, and we pretty much filled every second with one activity or another.
We ate at Sienna Tavern, Farmhouse, South Coast, Bombay Wraps, Seoul Taco, Molly’s Cupcakes, and Magnolia Bakery.
Fried cheese curds – SO GOOD!
We shopped up and down Michigan Avenue and State Street (both popular for their gazillion shopping options).
We walked anywhere from 15,000 to 23,000 steps a day as we made our way across the city and back!
We watched the Chicago Air and Water Show from afar (we basically stood along Lakeshore Drive for 1.5 hours).
And we laughed…a lot!
We’re back to real life now, and I miss my BFF! Looking forward to more shenanigans the next time we see each other, which is hopefully sooner rather than later!
Do you have go to restaurants for when friends/family visit from out of town?
What a wonderful weekend! I LOVE Bombay Wraps – a very cool concept for Indian fast food! We definitely have go-to bars and restaurants for when people are in from out of town; for both bigger groups and just a small crowd. Sounds like you had a classically wonderful weekend in Chicago!
