Before I share pictures from my week in Panama, I have a few things to update you all on-

  1. I have yet to be bitten by a mosquito.  This may be because there really aren’t any in Panama City or it could be because of my amazing bug spray.  I’ll share more about this magical spray soon!
  2. Panamanian food is amazing…even the vegetarian stuff.  I love all the fresh flavors!
  3. The conference was a success.  At the end of these kinds of events, we share a slide show of pictures from the week.  I’m not even going to lie.  I was thisclose to tearing up!
  4. Being in Panama and communicating in the little Spanish that I know has made me want to [re]learn the language (I took up to AP Spanish in high school and never took another class again).  Rosetta Stone, here I come!
  5. I miss Vishnu!  And I feel bad that he won’t be able to experience this amazing country.

  1. Par, these photos are awesome! I love them. I especially love the graffiti about not having Facebook and their life is real. Looooove! So glad you’re still mosquito-bite-free. You’ll see V soon enough! Maybe you two can go back and do a whole central america trip together!

    1. That was my favorite shot as well! There was one about IG too. 🙂

And Vishnu is now determined to make it back down there at some point…after hearing my rave about my trip!

    1. Thank you! And yes, it really was. The best part was that the majority of attendees had never been, so it was fun to explore together!

  2. So nice to hear you had a good time in Panama. That’s where I was born and raised. I live now in Texas, but I do miss it.

There is so much growth lately and so comes the heavy traffic, which makes it time consuming getting to places.

I miss the food. There are lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Glad you liked the food.

    1. I had a wonderful time! And there is so much growth – especially in Panama City. It reminded me a lot of where we lived in Miami!

      And the food! SOO GOOD!

    1. You would’ve loved it! It’s just so fresh and well seasoned. Even something as simple as chickpeas tasted SO good (because of olive oil + lemon juice). And the portion sizes were just perfect. I never felt overstuffed!

  3. Gorgeous photos! I’m so glad you’re enjoying it 🙂
Also, you might want to check out Babbel and Duo Lingo for language learning. We used both programs to get more familiar with Portuguese and it was so fun! Duo Lingo is my favorite AND it’s free (I think!).
Enjoy the rest of your trip Parita!!

    1. Thanks Kacy!

My boss showed me the Duo Lingo app! I like how accessible it makes the whole process. Definitely checking it out!
