I know I sound like a broken record every week, but it’s Thursday…how is that possible?  I mean, it’s mid-September.  WHAT?!

Anyways, I know you don’t want to hear me ramble on and on about how the days are flying by, so I’ll get right to it.  Here are this week’s three things!

3 Things Thursday Badge

(1) Aziz Ansari with very special guest Amy Schumer

Guess who’s going to see Aziz Ansari and Amy Schumer LIVE in Tampa on Vishnu’s birthday?!

WE ARE!

We are beyond excited because we’ve wanted to see Aziz perform live for years now.  It all came about so randomly too.  I texted a friend to see how she was.  She texted back.  Then a few minutes later she texted again to ask if we wanted to go to this show with her and her boyfriend.  I freaked out (from excitement), texted Vishnu, texted my friend back, and bought tickets.

WOO HOO!  I can’t wait to laugh and laugh and laugh!

Oh, and if you haven’t already, I highly recommend you watch this video of Amy Schumer on Ellen (thanks, Thea!).

(2) Crazy Rich Asians

I must be going through a rebellious phase with my reading list because I am not sticking to it at all!  I just finished The Poisonwood Bible and am now on to Crazy Rich Asians.  My friends Ankita and Rena highly recommended it and said that it most definitely should be the next book I read.  I’m only 5% in but so far so good!  I love all the characters already and can tell that the plot line is going to be a crazy one (hence the title I suppose!).

(3) Let’s go on a date!

As we were going to bed on Tuesday night, I asked Vishnu if he wanted to go on a date with me this weekend.  Of course his response was that we go on dates all the time.  While I agreed with that statement to an extent, I said that I wanted to go on a date date like we used to.  And then I asked him to plan it!  A few minutes later, he asked me what I wanted to do.  Haha!

No worries though, he came through.  We’re going to lunch on Sunday…because dinner would’ve cut into football time!

  1. That will be so fun! I have to admit I don’t follow Amy Schumer much, but Aziz is definitely hilarious!
Tom and I are both crazy football fans, although he’s into college and NFL and I’m just college so by Sunday I’m over it and want to go outside or binge watch a TV show but it’s constant Red Zone… 🙂

    1. I finished both CRA and the sequel China Rich Girlfriend this weekend! Went on a bit of reading frenzy!! Great reads though – kept me entertained!

    1. I really liked CRA! It was entertaining to say the least! I also finished the sequel China Rich Girlfriend – equally as funny/crazy!

  2. I’ve had that book on my reading list for a while now, can’t what to hear what you think of it. Oh, and I’m totally with you on proper dates. Whenever I start to miss them I make a point of calling my husband out too 😉 I want him to plan something special and then really take me out – stopping for dinner while your running errands does not count as a date in my book!

    1. It should be one of the next books your read! Really funny and entertaining!

And exactly, impromptu dinners are not dates!

  3. I’m laughing as I sit here catching up on things I’ve missed while Chirag’s watching football! That statement could not be any more on point then now! haha.

And we already bought tickets last month for Aziz and Amy! I can’t wait… please give us an update on what you thought of the show.
