Growing up, my mom would always sing a special song in Gujarati about not forgetting your parents.  The lyrics are beautiful and so full of meaning.  And I can truly say that each and every line of the song applies to my parents.

After I was done saying my prayers one day last week, I was rearranging a few things in my little temple and came across the English translation of the song.  Reading it and thinking about my mom singing the song to us when we were little brought tears to my eyes.

I knew it was something I wanted to share on the blog.

Do Not Forget Your Parents

Between my parents and Vishnu’s parents, we have a pretty awesome support system.  I honestly don’t know what we’d do without them.  And even though we don’t see them nearly as much as we want, I don’t think I could ever forget them!  EVER!

Have a wonderful Friday and give your parents a hug today (or send a sweet email or text)!
