Pretty Muddy
I haven’t mentioned it yet, but I recently got accepted to be a Pretty Muddy blogger. This entails writing fitness, food, and fun type posts for the organisation on a monthly basis…all of which tie into the core mission. It’s an opportunity that I’m really excited about! I love the idea of women supporting women and am looking forward to being more involved next year.
Some of you may have heard about the amazing women-only mud runs that Pretty Muddy hosts all over the country. These events encourage women to take time for themselves, let their hair down, and have fun.
Robin and I will actually have the opportunity to experience the fun ourselves because we are participating in the Pretty Muddy Miami event tomorrow morning! A few months ago, we talked about doing some sort of adventure run with Andy and Vishnu but the idea never really got anywhere. Well, when this event came across our radar, we talked about it for weeks but didn’t sign up until Thanksgiving.
I’ll definitely share more about the race next week, including pictures. Robin and I made a Target run to buy some fun pink pieces to complement our team name – the Pink Panthers!
The only thing that scares me is not getting good sleep tonight, as I get in to Miami around 10 pm. Oh well, there’s always time to sleep on Sunday.
Cookie Exchange
My friend Shelly invited me to her Junior League’s annual cookie exchange party. This will be my first one ever, and my inner cookie monster is so excited. Now, I just have to find time between the Pretty Muddy event and the party to make some cookies.
My Cousin’s Wedding
My cousin Jash is getting married tomorrow! I’m SO sad to be missing his big day. It just happened that the wedding date was set a week after I booked my ticket to London. When I talked to our travel agency about changing things around a bit with regards to my return flight, they came back to me with a ridiculous change fee.
When I say I’m sad to be missing his big day, I mean it with all my heart. Jash and I have known each other our entire lives, and I truly consider him a close friend. I’m so happy he found his other half and wish him nothing but the best! Even though I won’t be there in person, I will definitely be around in spirit! Congrats Jash!!
