It looks like this week’s picks are heavy in the SELF category.  All good reads though, I promise!

SELF:

10 Psychological Studies That Will Change What You Think You Know About Yourself – Super interesting article that outlines  some of the most famous psychological experiments from the past century or so.

3 Little Tricks to Deal With People Who Offend You – At first, these tips will seem a little out there, especially #2.  But they are kooky and memorable enough to work – trust me, I tried #2 while driving last weekend and it kind of did the trick!

10 Risks Happy People Take Every Day – A beautiful piece from one of my favorite websites.  While everything resonated with me, this quote in particular was really powerful…

“Don’t be afraid that your days will end in pain, be afraid they will never begin with honesty and love.”

7 Things You Need to Know to Deal With Major Life Changes – A really great reminder that even through the toughest circumstances, we have what it takes to come out on the other side.

The Secret to Getting People to Adore You – Simple but true.

FOOD:

Best Vegetarian Restaurants in the U.S. – Have I ever told you guys about my dream of becoming a vegetarian food critic?  If it ever comes to fruition, you can bet these restaurants will be on the top of my must try list.

MY homemade tomato sauce – I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but I’ve made this sauce twice in the past 2 weeks, and it is DELICIOUS!  I don’t think I will be buying bottled tomato sauce for a long time.  My homemade version is simple and takes less than 30 minutes to make.

NOTE: You can absolutely follow the recipe as posted.  OR you can make a few changes to really amp up the flavor and texture.  For my last two batches, I added ~1 cup chopped onion, a hefty sprinkle of cayenne, fresh basil, and 2 tablespoons of red wine (I used a Merlot).

FUN:

Crazy Bike StuntThis video is nuts!  Vishnu and I watched it together the other day and likened it to riding a rollercoaster.  WEE!
