TGIF! Is it just me or did this week fly by? I thought it would drag because of the holiday last week but it didn’t. Love it when that happens.
So, I had a semi-deep topic I wanted to blog about, but the words weren’t coming together like I wanted so I’m going to leave that post for next week.
Instead, I’m going to answer some ‘favorites questions.’ Not even remotely close to what I had planned but fun nonetheless. I love it when bloggers share random bits of information about themselves, so hopefully y’all aren’t bored to tears!
Ok, let’s start…
Favorite childhood food – Chewy Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies
No joke – I would often get home from school, pour myself a huge glass of milk, and eat 5-6 of these bad boys in like 3 minutes.
Favorite quote – (this is a hard one) if I had to choose just one, this would be it - “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.” –Winnie the Pooh
Favorite chore – I’m a little strange when it comes to cleaning/organizing. I enjoy it. A clean home is a happy home! Haha. My favorite chore of them all would have to be vacuuming. I love the look and feel of clean carpet. Told you I was strange.
Makes me giddy!
Favorite form of exercise – even though it kills my knees, I would have to say running is still my favorite. I love everything it. The feeling of accomplishment, the endorphin high, the sweat pouring down my face, all of it!
Favorite time of day/day of week/month of year – right before I fall asleep/Saturday/December
Favorite mode of transportation – not really sure about my favorite but I know my least favorite are planes. Flying these days is a pain in the @$$!!!!!
Favorite body part – my legs. They’ve come a long way.
Favorite comic strip – Blondie. Always makes me smile!
Welcome to my marriage!
Favorite way to spend 30 minutes of free-time – napping…DUH!
Favorite “weird” food combo – I don’t consider this to be weird but some people may – sweet potato with peanut butter and sea salt. YUM!
Favorite Disney character – Aladdin…he will always have my heart!
Favorite sound – laughter. True genuine laughter is contagious and makes me happy!
Ok, that’s enough about me – share a favorite of yours!
Have a wonderful Friday!
Ohh I’m looking forward to read about this semi-deep topic! Love posts like this and that bit about downing 5-6 Chips Ahoy cookies in one shot made me laugh…because you described my childhood to a T! And sweet potato with nut butter is divine…I had some for dinner last night (well squash instead of sweet potato) and was thinking how random the combo would seem to non-bloggers hah! Speaking of “weird” combos, I’m also a fan of the cheese, egg & jam combo….it’s pretty genius :)!
I’m going to have to give that combo a try! I’m sure it’s so good! And honestly, what doesn’t nut butter taste good with?! I have yet to find out!
Love this!! 🙂
Hmmm my favorite chore is organizing my kitchen. Weird, I know, but we just bought a new house and the kitchen is my favorite spot!
Favorite weird food combo? Eggs and ketchup. I never outgrew it, people still make horrified faces when I eat it, and I’ll never stop using ketchup on food.
What a fun post! 🙂 Happy weekend to you sweets!
I love ketchup on everything too! People find it so weird that my sister and I love it with our grilled cheeses. People don’t know what they’re missing out on!
YES!! I definitely put them on grilled cheeses. When I was a kid, I would eat my french toast with ketchup. My hubby makes the most horrible face when I still do that from time to time. HATERS GON’ HATE.
Hahaha this is a cute survey! I liked regular chips ahoy when I was little. I wish I liked organizing 😉 wanna come organize my kitchen??? 🙂
I liked them all – I’m honestly surprised I didn’t turn into a cookie when I was younger. 😛
Can you please come clean and organize my home when you’re in ATL next?
Favorite childhood food: grilled PB&J with a side of Cheet-os. Gourmet, right?
Yes, if that means we get to hang out!!!
I love Aladdin too!
Every time I mention him, Vishnu rolls his eyes. 🙂
My favorite childhood junk food was CHeese Curls, remember those by Planters? I LOVED THOSE. And the Soft Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies, I would microwave it for 10 seconds. Now, I just bake. I figured, I’m getting older and it’s better to know what’s in your food. 🙂
OMG soft batch cookies were amazing!
The Chips Ahoy were an addiction for me…I’d eat an entire sleeve in one sitting. So gross when I think about it but so impossible not to!! And I loved Magic Middles!
Totally POSSIBLE, my friend!
Parita, not related to this post but I wanted to thank you for introducing me to coursera! I saw you mention it on a blog post a while ago and I had never heard of it but I immediately signed up for a few classes that started this weekend and it is so cool! It is really feeding my love of learning since I have trouble getting out and about on my own due to a nerve disorder, until I can go back to school for real. Brought me a lot of joy today. Thanks!
You are so welcome! Isn’t it such an amazing concept?! I can’t wait until my classes start in 2013. What did you sign up for??
We seem to share things- cleaning & running happens to be my most fav thing besides of course sleeping. It seems like cleaning gives me peace of mind and running provides a lot of sanity. I have a weakness to cheese balls in large canisters, I could eat them nonstop.
