My Truths

written by Parita 21 Comments

Colleen wrote a great blog post today about her true statements.  Since I read her blog pretty regularly, it was fun to learn about the things that make her who she is.  In fact, I loved her idea so much that I’m stealing it!  Thanks, Colleen!!

Here are some of my truths in no particular order…

I 110% believe that Vishnu is my soul mate.

I absolutely cannot stand slow drivers in the left lane.

I am superstitious.

I am kind of obsessed with makeup – not necessarily wearing it, just owning it.

I love to laugh and find myself doing so a lot, often at myself.

I regret not taking Spanish classes in college.

I sleep with my eyes half open and it freaks people out.

I would do absolutely anything for my family.

I love a good love story.

I am spiritual.

I love to vacuum but hate folding laundry.

I am obsessed with my iPhone…to the point that it’s starting to irritate me.

I can’t stand mean people, especially those who know they are being mean and do it anyways.

I love Jillian Michaels and even more so after discovering her podcasts.

I am the worst surprise keeper in the world.

I am super emotional and will cry at the drop of a hat.

I think brown M&Ms taste more chocolaty.

I am quickly learning that I dislike Florida drivers…with a strong passion.

I am so grateful for the parents that I have.

I want to travel the world.

I am afraid of bugs.

I think Saturday is the best day of the week.

I love my in-laws – not something many people can say.

I could spend hours walking up and down the aisles of any grocery store.

I think my friends are some of the weirdest people I know and that’s why I love them.

I love annoying my husband…until he returns the favor of course.

I am obsessed with quotes and love finding new ones.

I try to be the best me everyday.

What are some of your truths!?

Ah I absolutely loved this post…we are so similar, especially about the iPhone & Jillian (amongst several others)! Here are a few of mine:

I always wake up in the middle of the night to check my emails/notifications

If I am riding in the back of the car, I will always enter from the left door

I have no idea how to ride a bike

    I cannot stand racist people

I have a freakishly good memory when it comes to remembering people’s birthday

I would rather have a few great friends than a ton of acquaintances

I love chick flicks too! Sometimes all I want to do is put my brain aside and watch something silly.

Since moving to Chicago, I have become the most impatient driver of all time. So much so that going anywhere else that is smaller/more laid back irks me to no end! I feel your pain… lol

aw love this post. I can relate to a lot of them. The owning makeup but not wearing it made me laugh. I am trying to change this in my life and threw out a lot last week. I had makeup I bought in middle school… no joke. I love doing laundry but I also hate folding it, it just lingers… and speaking of iphone, did you get the iphone 5?

We had a pile of clean laundry just sitting in our room for a week! I kept “forgetting” to fold it. 🙂

And no iPhone 5 for me just yet! You?

As tempting as it is, I am going to wait maybe until the end of the year for the iPhone5… we’ll see how long I last since my bf ordered one, I might get jealous 😉

    This is one great post!!

My mood depends on my weather.
I cannot stand when a shoe/shoes are left upside down.
I pick up coins if i see one.
I drink hot water every morning no matter how the weather is.
I am very bad with eye makeup.
I do not admit it but i love cheesy romantic songs.
I hate ironing and do not even own a ironing board yet
I rather have a low key lifestyle but able to travel all over the world

Slow drivers can ruin my day. It’s terrible. Nothing drives me crazy more than a slow driver in the left lane! I can relate to so many of these…plus, like dixya above, I am terrible with eye makeup. And makeup in general.

Just talking about them irritates me!! I’m not a rage”y” person but put me behind a slow person in the left lane and it’s game over!

Love this!! 🙂 It would be hard to come up with some truths, but maybe I should come up with a list of my own and write a post about it 🙂 I’m with you on bugs: I. do. not. like. them.
