I truly believe you can learn a lot about a person based on their food preferences.  For example, I would eat a huge plate of Brussels sprouts over a plate of peas.  Any. Day.  If this led you to believe that I hate mushy foods, you would be correct.  See you learned something about me!

Lucky for you, the learning doesn’t stop there.  I found a fun food survey online that will help y’all get to know the inner foodie in me.  Here we go!

Coke or Pepsi?  Pre-2012 –> Diet Coke, Now –> Neither

Lemonade or Fruit Punch? Fresh squeezed lemonade please!

Carmel Apple or Cotton Candy?  This one is tough, but if I had to chose, I’d go with the caramel apple.

Butterfinger or Snickers?  Snickers…never been a huge fan of Butterfinger.

Pudding and Jell-O?  Chocolate pudding.

Turkey or Chicken?  Pre-August 2010 –> chicken, Now –> Neither…in case you never caught on, I’m a vegetarian. Smile

American or Provolone Cheese?  Provolone – I love the smokey, mellow taste.

Crackers or Cookies?  Is this even a question?!  Chocolate chip cookies…duh!

Pretzels or Chips?  Blue corn tortilla chips are a new favorite.

Mexican food or Japanese food?  Mexican.  Chips, salsa, guac, enchiladas, heaven.

Chinese food or Italian food? Italian…preferably my mom’s lasagna.  Yum.

Pie or Cake?  Honestly, it just depends.  If I had to choose, I’d go with cake.  Chocolate cake.  Do you see a trend here?

Ice cream or Cookies?  Another toughie.  I’m going to have to go with chocolate chip cookies for the win.

Pasta or Pizza?  Pizza.  Unless we’re talking about gnocchi, then my answer would be pasta.

Soda or Juice?  Juice…always juice.

Chocolate Bars or Chocolate Truffles?  I’m a simple girl, so a good old fashioned chocolate bar would suffice.

Apples or Bananas?  Bananas…more versatile.

Salad or Soup?  Salad with lots of veggies and goat cheese.

Cauliflower or Broccoli?  My gut instinct was to say broccoli, but I’ve recently seen a lot of interesting cauliflower based recipes.  So until I try those, the verdict is still out.

Onion Rings or French Fries?  French fries.  If they’re made out of sweet potatoes, that would be even better.

Blizzard or McFlurry?  Oreo blizzard…extra Oreos please.

Fried or Poached Eggs?  Fried eggs.  I don’t think I’ve ever tried poached eggs before.

Crepes or Pancakes?  Another toughie.  I’m going to have to go with pancakes because I love the chocolate chip, walnut, banana combo.

Hashbrowns or Roasted Potatoes?  Hashbrowns…extra crispy.

Oatmeal or Cereal?  The old me would scream cereal, but the new me always craves oatmeal.  And when I can’t decide, I always go with protein cereal…best of both worlds!

So now that you’ve learned more about me and my inner foodie, answer a few of the above questions for yourself.  Let’s compare answers!

  1. Ohh I love this survey- the foodie in me found it super fun to read! Hope you don’t mind if I steal it soon? That ice cream v cookies question had me stumped- can I say choc chip cookie dough ice cream ;)?!

  2. Is it strange how much I love these types of things? It just reminds me of when I was in middle school and we used to do those chain letter e-mails all the time.

I have to say, I’d probably go with soup AND salad…but a Blizzard every time. (Hello, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup!)

And you have GOT to poach an egg. Every now and then I get a crazy craving for one. (Obviously I don’t eat them very much any more as a vegan, but the “with benefits” part allows me the occasional runny yolk…)

  3. fun! i’d definitely pick hash browns, mexican over Jap- ANY DAY! Oatmeal – oh yes, and all the different concoctions us food bloggers think of. Banana – allergic to apples. I would pick American cheese 🙁 (we’re actually different Parita) 🙂
Italian over chinese. Cookies over ice-cream, but i agree with khushboo on the chocolate chip cookie dough – bring it! and definitely cake over PIE.
    I think we’re exactly alike.
