Foodie Penpals–September

written by Parita Leave a Comment

A few months ago, I signed up for Foodie Penpals, the brainchild of Lindsay at The Lean Green Bean.  Basically, the idea behind this is for bloggers and readers from across the country to connect and swap their favorite food items on a monthly basis.  So fun!

If you’re interested in participating, please email Lindsay at theleangreenbean@gmail.com.  The sooner the better, people!

My sender this month was Kimberly at Sunny State of Mind.  Her first email was super sweet.  I quickly replied back and told her that I love chocolate and cheese (hint, hint)!  Well guess what – she’s from Wisconsin.  A match made in foodie heaven!

I couldn’t wait to tear open her package when it arrived.  So many goodies!

The first two things I pulled out were…

…CHEESE!  She sent me Smokehouse Sharp Cheddar and some Wisconsin cheese curds.  Both were so delicious.  The smoked cheddar had a barbeque taste, and the cheese curds were little pieces of cheddar heaven!

Kimberly also sent me a bottle of my very favorite dressing – Annie’s Goddess Dressing!  I don’t think Kim had much exposure to my blog before this swap, so it blew my mind that she sent me this very dressing, as I am obsessed!

She also sent me a whole host of other fun things…

Blogger Swap 911 004

…the perfect snacks to get me through the work day. Smile

And call me a sap, but my favorite part of her package was her handwritten note.  I love that she took the time to tell me about each of the things she sent!

Thank you so much, Kimberly, for a fun package of goodies.  I loved every last thing!  And thank you, Lindsay, for coming up with the Foodie Penpal idea!

I can’t wait to see what yummy things October brings!

NO 🙁 I just don’t have time on the weekends. I miss it so much! I think the next time I’ll be doing garba is at a friend’s wedding next year.

Great goodie bag! I love that she added Kool Aid- I used to be obsessed with that stuff when I was growing up!

It’s pretty amazing and really versatile. I use it in dressings, sandwiches, pasta dishes, etc.

Blogger food swaps are such a good idea! You got some great stuff. 😀 I’ve been wanting to try that Annie’s dressing, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen that brand in Canada. I’ll have to remember to look for it next time I’m in the US!
