Chocolately Overnight Oats

written by Parita Leave a Comment

I’m pretty sure overnight oats are old news for most people.  Not for me though!  I’ve been wanting to make myself a batch for some time now but never quite got around to it.  Excuses, excuses…I know!  Well, I finally bit the bullet and prepared a bowl last night, stuck it in the fridge to “gel” together, and gobbled it all up this morning.  All I can say is, I’m kind of obsessed with my creation.  It tasted like a peanut butter cup.  A healthy one at that!

ONO 001

Trust me when I say, this tasted a bajillion times better then it looked!  It was super chocolately and packed in quite a bit of protein.  Oh how I love filling breakfasts!

And the best thing about overnight oats is that you can mix and match the ingredients to your heart’s content.

Chocolately Protein Overnight Oats
Serves 1

1/2 cup quick cup oats
1 scoop Chocolate Sunwarrior protein powder
3/4 tablespoon dark chocolate cocoa powder
1 tablespoon chia seeds
3/4 of a medium banana (cut into super small pieces)
3/4 cup skim milk
1 scoop peanut butter

Mix everything together in a bowl until combined.  Refrigerate overnight.  Enjoy in the morning with a scoop of PB. Smile

MMM MMM GOOD!  (I promise!)

Are you a fan of overnight oats?  What method do you use to prepare your bowl?

    Yum!

I am partial to a good bowl of oats but in winter, eating them hot sounds a lot more appealing. I DO love the convenience of having breakfast ready though and the combination of chocolate and peanut butter has me drooling right now lol.

Think I might give it a go tomorrow 🙂

WOW that looks delicious- I can only imagine what it would be like in a near-empty PB jar! I love overnight oats, especially when I know that my mornings will be rushed and I have to eat breakfast at work! Have you tried making them with yogurt? I do 1/3 cup yog and 1/3 cup milk and boy is it SO creamy!

I love overnight oats! Mine have never tasted like a peanut butter cup, though, so I’ll have to try your concoction!
