Google Me!

It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means – funny TV night!  To learn more about why I love Wednesdays, click here.  So, yesterday I just thought about ordering take out on my way home from work, today I actually did it!  Hey, its Wednesday, which equals FUN DAY!  Thanks to all of you who said that Thai food is one of your favorite cuisines because you inspired me to find a highly rated Thai restaurant in my area, and thanks to Yelp and it’s reviewers for never-failing me!  I placed my order around 5:00 for pick up, and at 5:45, my Pad Thai with steamed tofu and veggies was waiting for me.  If you’ve never tried Pad Thai, please do!  It’s absolutely delicious.  It’s made with rice noodles, tofu (or your choice of meat), assorted veggies, eggs, peanuts, lime juice, and a lot of different spices.  And did you know that Pad Thai is one of Thailand’s national dishes?!  You learn something new everyday!

I’m going to attempt to stick with the funny theme today and share something that cracks me up as a blogger.  So, for those of you non-bloggers out there, here’s a little bit of background information.  If your blog is managed by WordPress.com, a neat benefit is that some site statistics are provided to you for free at anytime, and they are continuously updated.  For example, at any given time, I can tell you what my total page views are, what my top posts and pages are, how readers are referred to my blog, etc.  The funniest stat, in my opinion, is the search engine term one that tells you what search terms brought people to your blog.  Some are kind of obvious and some just crack me up!  Here are some of mine…

Obvious…
myinnershakti
my inner shakti
myinnershakti.com (pretty sure this one belongs to my mom!)
indian spices

Not so obvious (to me) but still make sense…
positive thoughts
indian spice holder
americansugarindianchai
canon 1300
nuggets of wisdom
wednesday night tv shows
i love indian food

The ones that make me L.A.U.G.H.
nuggets of wisdom good night (I was good until the good night, LOL)
indian word for staying positive blog parita (if this won’t lead you to myinnershakti, I don’t know what will!)
my inner staying positive blog parita (see comment above)
beautiful mangos
games for boys 11th birthday party (all I can say for this one is hahaha and I hope this person found what they were looking for!)

Funny stuff, huh?!  I can only imagine that the longer you blog, the better the search terms get!  Can’t wait!  If you’re a blogger, share some of the FUNNY search terms that lead people to your blog?!  And if you’re not a blogger, what would you name your blog if you had one?

Goodnight, y’all!  I’m off to get my laugh on! 🙂

I get a lot of “lawyer work life balance” searches and I always feel like responding, “Um, doesn’t exist but let me know if you find it.” Your “positive thoughts” searches sound way better 🙂

You must be doing something right if by searching that term people are brought to you. 🙂

Are you having fun trying out all the new restaurants since you moved? I have a feeling I’m gonna feel like a kid in the candy store next month when we move!

I just found your blog… but not via a search 🙂

I had to comment on this post, because I do get some normal, some random, and some downright weird search terms, but the best ones come from my boyfriend. Once he found out WP tells you the terms people search to find your blog, he played a joke on me for two weeks. Everyday he would search the strangest things like “beautiful red head with big booty” and other semi-creepy things….. I had noooo idea it was him and when I finally told him I was getting creepy search terms every single day, he couldn’t keep the secret any longer – he busted out in peals of laughter!
