Chocolate + PB + Banana Protein Green Smoothie
Into the blender went:
1 frozen banana
1 tablespoon dark chocolate cocoa powder
1 scoop Sun Warrior chocolate protein powder
1 cup of skim milk
1 spoon PB
1 large handful of spinach
It’s Wednesday, so y’all know what that means…free food from work (and no pictures to share).
I had a 1.27 lb. salad! It included spinach, cherry tomatoes, olives, green and red bell peppers, a boiled egg, carrots, celery, feta cheese, kidney beans, and balsamic dressing. It was a MONSTER! I also had a small scoop of pasta salad on the side – gotta have me some carbs!
Surprisingly, that monster of a salad left me slightly hungry around 3:30, so I took a walk down the hall to our “convenient store” to find myself a snack. I ended up buying this…
It doesn’t have the best nutritional stats, but it did keep me satisfied until dinnertime (7:45). If I remember correctly, each bar has 6 grams of fiber and 9 grams of protein…ok for emergencies.
Oh yes I did. I had yet another salad for dinner! This one was made with spinach, cannellini beans, tomatoes, zucchini, quinoa, and Annie’s Goddess dressing. Delicious and satisfying!
Now, y’all know that when I really love something, I have to blog about it and spread the word. Take my word and go buy Annie’s Goddess dressing…TRUST ME. It’s so incredibly delicious, and the flavor is almost exotic – a mix of Greek and Asian. Whatever it is, it’s YUM! It also makes a great sandwich spread.
Side note: This is a full fat dressing, but because the flavor is so strong and concentrated, you don’t need too much.
